A Weekend to Explore,

Connect & Grow

Some of the most meaningful moments in dance happen when we feel connected — to ourselves, our partner, music and the people around us.

This event is created to explore and improve the way we move and interact with each other.

Together with Pat Géa & Gabs Sena, we want to create a space where learning, sharing, and dancing come together naturally to create a special flow in Your dance. A weekend filled with curiosity, creativity, meaningful connections, and moments of discovery.

Through the classes, Guided Practica, social dancing, and personal interaction, we invite you to explore Brazilian Zouk beyond the pure movement technique as a transition to the special flow of Brazilian Zouk.

A Guided Practica is our special proposal:  a relaxed practice session after a workshop where you can try out what you just learned. A teacher is around to answer questions and give tips when needed. Think of it as somewhere between a private class and a social dance – low pressure, beginner friendly.

A space to ask questions.
A space to explore.
A space to connect.

And above all, a space to enjoy the journey together.

Pat Géa and Gabs Sena

Pat Géa & Gabs Sena

Pat Géa and Gabs Sena bring a new perspective on dance into the classroom.

Beyond fundamentals, concepts, and techniques, they encourage dancers to question, explore, and understand movement instead of simply reproducing it.

Their classes combine creativity, structure, sensitivity, and fun, creating an environment where learning becomes deeper, lighter, and more personal.

With backgrounds in both solo and partner dance, they help students develop individual expression while maintaining connection and partnership.

Pat and Gabs are pioneers in developing a co-creative approach to Brazilian Zouk:

A dance where both partners actively contribute while preserving fluidity, structure, and genuine connection.

The Learning Journey

The workshops are designed as a progressive experience. Each block builds upon the previous one, guiding participants from connection and flow toward musicality, creativity, and expression.

Dance Like a River - Block 1

In a partner dance, constant coordinated movement generates the fluidity we all crave. Both the follower and the leader express themselves as they adapt and move together, creating what we call a River. The goal of this class is to bring the feeling of connection and fluidity within the closed embrace that only Brazilian Zouk provides.

What will you learn?

  • Connection and presence
  • Fluidity of movement
  • Waves and co-creation

Masterclass - Infinite head movements

For those who want to learn to connect head movements fluidly and comfortably, this class aims to demystify complex movements. We will understand the fundamentals and develop an infinite repertoire, without needing to memorize sequences.

What will you learn?

  • Absorption and redirection
  • Sensitivity, fluidity, and comfort in movement
  • Adaptation and improvisation
  • Autonomy and creativity

Traveling connection - Block 2

Do you feel like your dance has become repetitive or disconnected from your partner? This class is about creating real connection and making basic movements feel more attractive, unexpected, yet intentional. You’ll learn how to understand texture changes in the dance and express them with more confidence.

What will you learn?

  • Control during weight transfers
  • Variations in step speed
  • Different movement textures
  • Elasticity

Musical Expression - Block 3

Learn to dance beyond rhythmic markings! It’s a study on the representation of sound through movement, a musical expression, focusing on melody and voice. Great for learning to dance to music without clear beats.

What will you learn?

  • The qualities of movement
  • How to create textures
  • Develop musical sensitivity
  • Create intentionality in movement

What’s your question?

What is a Couple Ticket?

A Couple Ticket is for two people joining as a Leader and a Follower. It helps us keep a healthy balance between roles during the course. We rotate partners constantly throughout the class, so you will get to dance with everyone.

What is a Guided Practica?

A Guided Practica is a relaxed practice session after a workshop where you can try out what you just learned. A teacher is around to answer questions and give tips when needed. Think of it as somewhere between a private class and a social dance – low pressure, beginner friendly.

Will there be partner rotation?

Yes, we rotate partners constantly throughout the course. This is one of the best ways to improve and get comfortable dancing with different people. At the party afterwards, you are free to dance whatever role you like and with whoever you choose.

What is the Masterclass?

This class is designed for dancers who want to take their movement to the next level. We focus on head movements – learning how to lead and follow them fluently and comfortably, without relying on memorized sequences. Instead, you will develop a deep understanding of the fundamentals that gives you an infinite repertoire and the freedom to improvise.

What you will learn:

  • Absorption and redirection
  • Sensitivity, fluidity and comfort in movement
  • Adaptation and improvisation
  • Autonomy and creativity

Recommended for intermediate and advanced dancers.

How many participants will there be?

We keep the group size small to ensure a good learning experience and a healthy Leader/Follower balance. The Guided Practica and Masterclass are each limited to 8 Leaders and 8 Followers.

Is my ticket refundable?

Tickets can be fully refunded until June 30, 2026 without providing a reason. After this date, refunds are at the discretion of the organizers.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes. To transfer your ticket, the original buyer must send an email from the original order email address to ticket@go.zoukmainz.de with the name and email address of the new participant.
